The American Dream is really a thing from the 1950s. Okay really the phrase was first coined in 1931 by James Truslow Adams and the ideal of the phrase is the same ideal that Declaration of Independence talks about in it’s second sentence. But the American Dream that we have all grown accustom to as being the meaning (the house with the picket fence, 2.5 kids and a dog version) is very 1950s.

The planning, the partying, and the inevitable stress are finally over. Now it’s just you and your sweetie off to your honeymoon paradise. What you get up to during this little getaway, well let’s just keep that between the two of you.
Hi it is me! (Okay so it is Amber since you all probably can’t guess who me is) This is my first blog that I have written, Meghan the more talented with computers normally handles most of it. But if I don’t get banned from doing it after this one maybe you will get to hear more from the Amberness later. . . and yeah I might get to doing the post blog thing here in a minute. I have a bad habit of getting distracted. Okay focusing on wedding cakes now. . . I took a few cake decorating classes last year and loved it. So I this blog has some really neat looking cake toppers, pre-made eatable (Yes eatable is word I promise) flowers, and other cake needs. Now go forth and enjoy because here the Cake is not a lie!
P.S. Thanks to Meghan who is getting this actually set up on the page.
Wedding favors are a bit of your big day to take home. I’ve seen many ideas for favors, ranging from treats to trinkets. I think one of my favorites is giving your guests disposable cameras and having them take all the pictures before the end of the wedding reception. Another I like is giving the guests seedlings to take home.
I found a great site dedicated to handmade weddings that had some really cool favor ideas. It’s called Do It Yourself Weddings. I can’t decide which idea was my favorite, the hot cocoa in a bottle or the CD favors. They do make a good point on the CD favors, if you do them wrong they are illegal. However there are tones of indie bands out there, that if you pay a small fee to would let you use their music on the CD if you give them credit. Make a good little CD insert with info on each of the artists and where to find more of their music and they’d probably be more than happy to be part of your wedding.
There are a lot of things that people want added to Etsy, but don't realize they can already get from EtsyHacks. These apps make using Etsy (already awesome) a hundred times better.
